On March 17-21, 2025, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences hosted the International Conference «The Fifths V.G. Rastyannikov’s Readings»: The Increasing role of the BRICS Group and Partner Countries in the Global Economy and Politics. The International Conference was organized by the Center for S&T Cooperation and Agrarian Research, Department of Economic Research at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The conference was attended by over 200 scientists, researchers, and experts from universities and research institutions in Russia, India, China, Pakistan, Iran, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Bolivia, Gambia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. A total of 130 reports were presented during the plenary session and eight specialized sessions.
