On the Negative Consequences of the Arab Spring: Data from Libya
Mustafa O. Attir, professor emeritus of sociology and director of the Center for Applied Social Research, Libyan Academy gave a public lecture «On the Negative Consequences of the Arab Spring: Data from Libya» on the 6th of December, 2021.
Mr. Attir has been conducting empirical research since early 1970s. His research covered social changes, modernization, social problems, poverty, and illegal migration. His works were published in Arabic and English: 27 books (five of them in English) and 122 articles (28 of them in English). His most recent books are the following: “Women and Modernization in the Libyan Society: The Road to Disengagement (2013), “On the Conflict Between the Tent and the Palace: A Critique of the Libyan Style of Modernity” (English edition 2016), “The Libyan Revolution: Conflict Roots and Implications” (2020).
